It looks like we are finally starting to fill out the ranks of the ESL Pro League Season 19 for CS:GO, with Imperial and Sharks becoming the latest two teams to qualify for the competition. These teams will be added to the already qualified teams, although they certainly have a big battle ahead of them when the ESL Pro League tournament starts in Malta on April 23rd.
Both Teams Are the Lowest Ranked in ESL Pro League Season 19
Imperial and Sharks are both surprise winners of the South American Open Qualifier, with both managing to defeat teams that were ranked far above them in the world rankings. So, this does beg the question about how well they will perform when the ESL Pro League rolls around, although one can assume that they are happy enough to qualify for the league, and while they will be aiming to win, the fact that they managed to get to Malta is good enough.
We can see both Imperial and Sharks going out during the first few days of the tournament, but since they have both surprised us, knocking out MIBR, FURIA, and more, who knows what will happen. These two teams could end up besting some of the best CS:GO players in the world. We suppose it all depends on what happens ‘on the day’.
Just 2 More Teams to Add to the ESL Pro League Season 19
With both Imperial and Sharks now in the ESL Pro League, it means that there are just two spots available. These will be filled up by teams from Europe and Oceania in the coming weeks, although we currently have no idea who is likely to grab the spots, with the qualifier competition heating up in both regions. What we can tell you is that whoever does end up qualifying for the ESL Pro League Season 19 will almost certainly be giving the other teams a run for their money. Sure, they’ll be a far lower ranked team, but they will be the best of the best.
